We ask parents to bring snack to school three or five times in the school year, depending on the child’s schedule. Parents may choose to either bring snack or pay $20 for each snack day to cover the cost of snacks and shopping. The snack you bring will be for both classes, so split it in half and deliver to both kitchens. We love fresh, homemade, low sugar treats. A day or two before your snack day, you are welcome to check to refrigerators in each class to see what we already have on hand.
See the following suggestions, or create your own! Bring one item from each group.
- Breads: Whole grain or home made bread, tortillas, pita or bagels (one loaf or package for each class)
- Fruits or Vegetables: (4 lbs) apples, bananas, oranges, carrots, cucumbers
- Protein: cheese (1 pound, in a block or cubed), hard boiled eggs, nuts, NO PEANUTS
- Beverage: 1/2 gallon water or whole milk. No juice.
